PETER GEYERA brief note about Peter Geyer
Peter Geyer [BA(Hons); Dip.Ed., GDip (Org Beh); MSc] is a consultant and writer who is an acknowledged expert and leading thinker in the field of psychological types and personality. He has studied and taught psychological type and personality for 20 years, including 13 years conducting authorised MBTI Qualifying Workshops. He currently conducts MajorsPTI Accreditation courses on behalf of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) Peter conducts workshops and seminars on psychological type and its applications (e.g. careers, teams, counselling/coaching, writing, learning) from introductory to advanced levels. He has developed a variety of effective training courses around personality type that are comprehensive and insightful and reflect his informal, flexible style. Throughout this period, Peter has presented his work at professional and academic conferences in Australia, Korea, the US and the UK, including a television interview in Korea on the MBTI (2008). His MSc thesis: Quantifying Jung: the origin and development of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, has become a seminal work and his writings on type theory and application have also broken new ground. Peter was the Interest Area Consultant (Theory and Research) for the Association for Psychological Type (International) (APTi) between 2006-2010, writing about theory and research issues and providing research advice to its members. A life member of the Australian Association for Psychological Type (AusAPT), Peter also writes for the Australian Psychological Type Review on social aspects of personality differences. He taught the Personality Theory component of a Graduate Diploma in Jungian Studies at the University of South Australia and has been a visiting scholar at universities in Korea and Switzerland, the latter as a means of developing his own Jungian questionnaire.
