Course Length: 1 day (usu. 9am-4.30pm)

What the course is about: Using psychological type to help people e.g.

Personality: a psychological type perspective
Psychological type and the unconscious
Type and stress
Type, temperament and pathologies
Counsellors, clients and type
Benefits and limitations

Suitable for: Accredited type instrument users. Other professionals who have a working knowledge of psychological type.

At the end of the course: Participants will:

Have a working knowledge of the use of type in counselling settings
Be able to apply typeÐrelated strategies with clients of differing preferences
Understand typeÐrelated aspects of their role and methods as a counsellor

Course preparation and materials: No preÐreading required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own material for discussion. They will receive a folder of relevant handouts.

Note: This course is not about use MBTI or other instruments. MBTI (Step I): Interpretation in depth is the most relevant course in this instance.
