Teaching and Learning with Type

Course Length: 1 day (usu. 9am-4.30pm)

What the course is about: Type and the world of learning, whether teaching or training:
  • Type and learning: general presumptions
  • Type and teaching others expectations of learning, including desired outcomes.
  • Type and learning styles/teaching styles
  • Expectations; desired outcomes; motivation; interest
  • Presenting to groups for learning

Suitable for: Accredited type instrument users, particularly those who teach or train others. Teachers and others with a knowledge of type.

At the end of the course: Participants will:
  • Have a working knowledge of the use of type in counselling settings
  • Be able to apply type-related strategies in classrooms and training rooms
  • Learning styles
  • Be able to assess reward systems and their efficacy

Course preparation and materials: No pre-reading required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own material for discussion. They will receive a folder of relevant handouts.
